For an inventory control system, calculate the Function Point Count (FP) for which the following measures are given:
Degree of Influence (DI) = 50
Unadjusted Function Point (UFP) = 2
Q3. In a bank HR department has launched online application to record employee’s data. The employee’s data includes employee name, registration no, qualification and experience. The employees have been classified as hourly employee, salaried employee. Either type of employee can have information about the dependents and the field of experience. Identify the RETs (Record Element Type) in the above scenario.

====================================================================
Question No 1:-
For an inventory control system, calculate the Function Point Count (FP) for which the following measures are given:
Degree of Influence (DI) = 50
Unadjusted Function Point (UFP) = 2
Function Point Count (FP) =?
FP = UFP*VAF
Here first we calculate value adjustment factor (VAF), so
VAF = 0.65+DI/100
VAF = 0.65+50/100
VAF=0.65+0.5
VAF=1.15
Now
FP = UFP*VAF
FP = 2*1.15
FP = 2.3 Answer

Question No 3:-
In a bank HR department has launched online application to record employee’s data. The employee’s data includes employee name, registration no, qualification and experience. The employees have been classified as hourly employee, salaried employee. Either type of employee can have information about the dependents and the field of experience. Identify the RETs (Record Element Type) in the above scenario.
Answer:-
In the above scenario the RET will be,
(1) Salaried employee (mandatory) = includes general information
(2) Hourly employee (mandatory) = includes general information
(3) Dependent (optional)

Question No 2:-
Calculate Total degree of Influence, Function Point count (FP) and Value Adjustment Factor (VAF) on the basis of the following data:
UFP= 318
General System Characteristics Degree of Influence
Data Communication 2
Distribute Data Processing 0
Performance 5
Heavily used Configuration 4
Transaction Rate 2

=====================================================================
Total Degree of Influence =?
Function Point (FP) count =?
Value adjustment factor =?
UFP = 318
Total degree of influence = some of score of 14 general system characteristics
Total degree of influence = 2+0+5+4+2+4+5+3+4+5+4+5+5+5 = 53
Value adjustment factor (VAF) = 0.65+DI/100
Value adjustment factor (VAF) = 0.65 +53/100
Value adjustment factor (VAF) = 0.65+0.53
Value adjustment factor (VAF) = 1.18
FP = UFP*VAF
FP = 318*1.18
FP = 375.24 Answer
