Dear student!
.exe file is only created when your program is successfully compiled.
You need to follow these steps:
1) Open dev, go to "file" in menu bar, then "new"and then select "source file" (File-> New->source file.
2) Write your program on it ad then save your program
3) Go to "execute" in menu bar and then select compile. (Execute-> Compile)
If your program does not contain error, it will be compiled, if it contains errors then it will not compiled. Remove errors and then again compile it
4) After successful compilation, execute program by selecting "execute" and then run. ( Execute->run)

Follow these steps, your problem would be solved.
