Devices: Microwave
You have to write an assembly code that will read the device status (read the parallel port) and on the basis of that status, it will turn the specific device ON or OFF depending upon your input provided through keyboard as shown in Table: 1.
Assignment
Scenario:1
Being an HCI Specialist you have to design a persona based solutions in a company “YXZSolutions.co”. In
persona based design solutions, requirement definition determines what function and information our persona
access in order to achieve their goals. Keep in mind the HCI knowledge regarding persona based design which
step in requirement definition serves as a primary purpose of eliminating as much designer bias as possible before
launching into scenarios? Mention the step with solid reason.
Scenario:2
Suppose you are a web designer in company “xyzsoft.” Your company assigned you a website which has poor
usability due to its poor navigation. What most effective actions will you take to improve navigation of the
assigned website? Give any three effective actions.
CS201 Introduction to Programming Assignment No. 3 Solution Spring Semester June 2013

Problem Statement:

Write the C++ program having class name studentinfo, that is used to store the VU student information: This class should store your VUID, campus id, name and father name in the following character type data members:

Data members:

VUID
campusID
Studentname
Fathername

Studentinfo class should have the parameterized constructor that is used to initialize the data members of the studentinfo class,

Studentinfo class should have following member functions.

Storefile()
Display()

Storefile() member function should store the value of all data members in the text file named “record.txt”, on separate lines in the text file as follows:

Vlhr02

Display() member function reads your VUID, campusID, name and father name from the file named “record.txt”, stores them in the respective data members and displays the record.

Write a C++ program that prints your VUID by using character array, then prints your VUID in reverse order by using character array and finally stores and displays the digits of your VUID at the diagonal of 9 x 9 Matrix by using two dimensional integer array.
You are required to perform these tasks with the help of following three functions:
DisplayVUID()
DisplayReverse(char [])
StoreDiagonal()

Detailed Description:
Description of above functions are as follows:
DisplayVUID()
This function stores your VUID in character array (for example bc020455055) and simply prints it.

DisplayReverse(char [])

This function takes the character array as parameter having your VUID and displays it in reverse order.

StoreDiagonal()

This function stores the digits of your VUID at the diagonal of 9 x 9 matrix, for example VUID i.e. bc020455055 contains the digits 020455055, so you have to store these digits in the diagonal of the 9 x 9 matrix as follows:

ECO402 Microeconomics Assignment No.2 Solution Spring Semester 2013

ASSIGNMENT:
The Case:
Thailand is the world second largest exporter of rice. Rice production in Thailand
represents a significant portion of the labor force of Thailand’s economy. It is a necessity
good for the people of this country. It is also used in the production of cereals and
biofuels. Domestic rice industry is providing finest varieties of rice to the people of this
country. Suppose, in year 2011, price of rice increased sharply which badly affected the
whole economy. Thailand’s government conducted survey to find out the reason of
sharp increase in price. As per findings of the survey, some major domestic suppliers
were found to be involved in the practice of hoarding of rice. This practice raised price of
rice in domestic market. To cope with this situation, government implemented two major
decisions. First, it set the price of rice equal to Rs. 700 per bag in July, 2011. Secondly,
heavy fine was announced to be imposed if any producer was found to be involved in
hoarding of rice. These decisions affected all producers of rice. Data on price, quantity
demanded and quantity supplied of rice in different months of year 2011 are given
below:
Months Price per bag of rice
(in Rs.)
Quantity
Demanded of rice
(Bags of rice)
Quantity supplied
of rice (Bags of
rice)
January 600 78,000 47,000
April 800 75,000 60,000
July 700 77,000 49,000
Requirements:
Being a student of economics, you are required to analyze domestic industries of rice
and its related products in above situation by answering the following questions;
A. Calculate shortages or surpluses that occur in rice industry when government
sets price equals to Rs. 700 per bag of rice.
B. Calculate price elasticity of demand and price elasticity of supply when
government decreases price of rice from Rs. 800 to Rs. 700.
C. Analyze whether the above government action in the form of setting price equals
to Rs.700 per bag is proved to be successful to stable the domestic rice market
or not. Give answer by only considering the values calculated in part B.
D. How cereal industry of Thailand will be affected if Government is successful in
overcoming hoarding of rice. Graphically analyze.
(Marks: Part A= 3 + Part B = 8 + Part C = 4 + Part D = 5)

ROM

Random Access Memory or RAM is a form of data storage that can be accessed randomly at any time, in any order and from any physical location., allowing quick access and manipulation.
Read-only memory or ROM is also a form of data storage that can not be easily altered or reprogrammed. Stores instructions that are not necessary for re-booting up to make the computer operate when it is switched off. They are hardwired.
Random Access Memory
Read-only memory
RAM allows the computer to read data quickly to run applications. It allows reading and writing.
ROM stores the program required to initially boot the computer. It only allows reading.
RAM is volatile i.e. its contents are lost when the device is powered off.
It is non-volatile i.e. its contents are retained even when the device is powered off.
The two main types of RAM are static RAM and dynamic RAM.
The types of ROM include PROM, EPROM and EEPROM.
